Fixed.

It's getting very hard to work out who is driving what, when there's no indication on any of the result sheets, both at Club level and Supersprint level, of the model and category of the MX5.
Classes mean nothing at Supersprints, as some are running different classes to gain points for the club. ie Mike, Tony, etc.

When I’m not at an event then someone always will let me know if there's an error.

Spewing that I missed beating Stewart's record by a measly five hundredths of a second. That's about half a car length at the finish line! My third run included three consecutive laps - 1:19.6265, 1:19.5614, 1:19.6457. Run 1 included a 1:19.6462 and Run 2 a 1:19.6414, but both runs were otherwise hampered by traffic. So close!

If only you didn't have that roll cage weighing you down.....

BTW, your signature has a bunch of old times in it. Update?

Done! After Sunday, I now have a full set of PBs for all NSW tracks. The 10AE is about 2% faster than my old NA6. I've still got a little time to find at Wakefield Park and North Circuit.

Well it looks like it was a great day at Eastern Creek for new lap records during Round 4 of the State Supersprints.

Bryan took half a second off his NB8A record before his big moment into T1.

Scott peal another 0.2 of his best and Ralph smashed his NC record with a 1:48.868  chasing Russ in his supercharged NC who also took a record with a 1:49.280.

Tony skimmed 0.050 off Luke’s previous record in his SE.

Then it looks like David has had enough of Ed snapping at his heals and put in a sub 1:50 time of 1:49.724.

Chris White set the MX-5 FTD with a super quick time of 1:46.838.

I’m amazed how far tyre technology has come in the last 5 years.
In a May 2010 Supersprint, Rex Hodder, a well know peddler, pushed his Lotus to a class record of 1:50.7032, now we have MX-5s going quicker.

The track felt awesome yesterday - it inspired lots of confidence which goes some way to explaining the records.

Unfortunately I have no video of the 1:46.838, as the Go Pro died earlier in the day. I have run 1 and some of run 2 on video and will post some of that in coming days once I have done an overlay :)

It was/is, and is quite a bar to clear. As the GM is subbing again for the racecar at Rd5, looks like the rematch will have to wait till next year, no more GP circuit rounds after that - unless we can arrange a hit-out at some other event ....

Wow, your commentary said what I was going to say. Very lucky to get out of that one with a straight car!

I noticed in the GP Supersprint Records that Brian Anderson still holds the 4B record in an MX-5 with 1:45.270 in 2005. It's one of the few records that stand since the 2012 track upgrades, and there is only one other of similar vintage (the rarely contested Class 5A with a relatively ordinary 1:49.240). I know the list in this thread only starts from 2012, but it's great to see that Chris (1:46.838) is getting close to knocking off Brian's old record. Keep it going mate! 8)
